Mia Nikolić

Mia Nikolic was born in Belgrade. Currently a PhD student at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade where she finished her master studies in 2009. She specialized in Salzburg, Austria. She has participated in many solo and group exhibitions, here and abroad ( Norway, Austria, Italy, Syria, Bulgaria, Romania…). She is a winner of the Golden chisel award for 2010.

“Cleaning the memory” is a video performance about cleaning the past. It is a painful process dealing with a problem from the past or in the present. Cutting symbolically presents release.
