Aleksandar Davić

Film and television director and writer.
Born in Novi Sad in 1961. He graduated film and theatre directing from the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, subsequently working as an assistant director on Dusan Makavejev’s feature film Gorilla bathes at Noon (Gorila se kupa u podne, 1993). His experimental film The Eyewitness won the Golden Plaque "Beograd" for the Best Experimental film at the Yugoslav documentary and short film festival, 1996 and Special Award of Magazine Gazeta Wyborcza - Media Art Biennale WRO97, Wroclaw, Poland 1997; Short films Impossible , Made in Serbia and Good Evening were included in the special program of 46. International Short Film Festival Oberhausen. Documentary Traveling of the Dead was successfully screened at the International Film festival Rotterdam, 2002. The Party is his first feature-length film.

Video Art Association Videomedeja is producer and organizer of the festival Videomedeja. It is an independent, non-governmental, non-profitable and non-partisan association of citizens established in Novi Sad, Serbia in 1996 with basic goal to enhance independent video production and promotion of video art and new artistic practice. Our basic activities are organization of the annual festival and production of video works.
