Internet is a platform for connecting people. Instagram is a platform open for people to show their everyday pictures. This installation in a simple but effective way combines the qualities of each and brings us closer to people around the world using Google Earth interface.

Marc Lee’s works, which focus on real-time processed, computer programmed audio visual installations, have been shown in major Museums and new media art exhibitions including: ZKM Karlsruhe, New Museum New York, Transmediale Berlin, Ars Electronica Linz and Videomedeja (12th Festival)

With Pic-me you can virtually fly to the locations from where users send posts to Instagram. The posts are set in context to the environment of the user and locates them on Google Earth. Including profile images and addresses of the users.
