Hoda Taheri, Boris Hadzija
Hoda, an Iranian refugee woman, lives in exile in Germany with her boyfriend Hadi. Due to an unexpected pregnancy, Hoda begins to question common ideas about gender roles in a relationship and openly challenges the current patriarchal societal norms regarding female bodies and motherhood.
Hoda Taheri and Boris Hadžija are a filmmaker duo based in Berlin.
Hoda, an Iranian artist and filmmaker, completed her bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication in Malaysia before moving to Germany in 2018 as a political refugee. In 2019, she began studying film directing at the DFFB.
Boris, a Serbian filmmaker and classical pianist, completed his master’s degree in classical piano at the University of Arts in Belgrade and later also studied directing at the DFFB.
