Sonja Savić

Born in 1961 in Čačak, Serbia, she lives and works in Belgrade. She graduated from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade and, as an actress, appeared in 28 films of Yugoslav cinema. In 1981, she co-founded the New Sensibility (Nova Osećajnost) movement. She collaborated with members of the experimental theatre group Kugla Glumište from Zagreb and Neue Slowenische Kunst (NSK) from Ljubljana. Since 1993, she has been an associate dramatic performer with the music group Supernaut.
Her body of work includes, among other projects, Summer of Love ’69 (Leto ljubavi ’69, 1993), a series of thirteen four-hour live broadcasts on Art Channel in Belgrade. She has also written numerous screenplays for feature films, video art, music films, and other audiovisual projects.
