Based on architectural ruins of the Nazi era, parallels to current right-wing populism in Austria are shown and compared with authoritarian tendencies which infected a lot of countries recently. The experimental film uses choreography and absurd humor to place the buildings in relation to the present and, on the other hand, to overcome them as architectural symbols of the Nazi era.

Harald Hund’s works show people under difficult, often absurd living conditions. They revolve around utopias gone wrong, science fiction versus reality, and altered conditions of gravity. In the process, he creates images of society that are marked by absurdities and in which the role of humans is sometimes taken over by animals. His films make use of experimental film, editing and animation techniques. An important method is the redefinition of reality.

His works are shown internationally in film festivals (including Venice, Rome, Hong Kong, Rotterdam, Sao Paolo, Rio de Janeiro, Chicago, Austin, Brooklyn, Melbourne, Moscow) and exhibitions (Sculpture Center NYC, Egon Schiele Center Krumau, Austrian Cultural Forum NYC, Belgrade and Budapest, OK Linz, MNAC Bucharest etc.).
