Fee Waiver Policy for Videomedeja Submissions

At Videomedeja, we value the contributions of artists from around the world and strive to make participation accessible. While our submission process requires a donation, we offer a fee waiver option under specific conditions.

Important Notice

  • Fee waivers are available only during the early and regular submission periods (until June 15).
  • Each artist is allowed to submit only one work with a fee waiver, regardless of eligibility category.

Who Can Apply for a Fee Waiver?

You may be eligible for a fee waiver if you meet one of the following criteria:

  1. Returning Participants with a Strong Festival Presence
    • Artists who have had more than three works selected in previous editions of the Videomedeja Festival can submit one new work for free.
    • To request a waiver, send an email to office@videomedeja.org with:
      • The title(s) of your previously selected work(s).
      • The year(s) when your work was screened at Videomedeja.
  2. Artists from Countries with Blocked International Payments
    • If you are unable to complete the donation due to restrictions on international payments or PayPal, you can apply for a fee waiver.
    • To qualify, send an email to office@videomedeja.org including:
      • Step 1: An official link or document confirming that international payments are blocked in your country.
      • Step 2: A screenshot showing that you have signed up and logged into Videomedeja.com—our free video art library where you can explore an extensive collection of curated video art works.

We encourage artists who receive a fee waiver to share Videomedeja.com on their social media. By spreading the word, you help other artists discover a platform dedicated to showcasing video art globally.

Once we receive your request and verify the provided details, we will send you a fee waiver code to use during submission.
