Arjen de Leeuw (1972) studied sculpture at the Royal Academy of arts in The Hague (1990-1995). Working with fictional settings, he challenges his protagonists to deal with existential questions. He does this mainly in video-works. His work was exhibited and screened both nationally and internationally. Recent screenings of his work were at Centre Pompidou in Paris, Museo Reina Sofia in Madrid, the IFFR in Rotterdam and 25fps in Zagreb. He lives and works in Amsterdam.
