Nicolas Ehret

Nicolas Ehret was born in 1987 in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany. From 2011 to 2018 he studied directing for cinema and TV at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. BIKE OF A BOY is his graduation film. His films HIT THE ROAD GUNNAR and AFTER TRUTH were shown at many festivals and won several prices.
A war is raging, nowadays. A boy loses his home in an air raid. Disoriented, he is now fleeing with his bike as his only possession through an increasingly disrupted world. The people he meets and tries to connect with mirror his own search for the right path, even though there is no destination.
Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg
The Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg was founded in 1991 as a non-profit limited liability company. Today, it is one of the most renowned international film schools. The project-oriented curriculum triggers learning by doing during all the different stages of a film and television production.
