Piotr Krajewski
Born 1956, polish curator, theorist and scholar. Founder and artistic director of the WRO Media Art Biennale, and a chief curator of WRO Art Center.
He has lectured and published extensively on media art and the cultural impact of new technologies. Among the exhibitions he has curated are: Antystatic – intermedial artists, Cultivated Cultures – bio, zoe and digital environments, Beyond the Seven – a large scale site-specific installations and On the Silver Globe – a series of exhibitions groundbreaking the history of electronic/digital art, and also individual exhibitions by Mirosław Bałka, Robert Cahen, Paweł Janicki, Igor Krenz, Józef Robakowski, Zbig Rybczyński, Carolee Schneemann, as well as shows of emerging artists.
He is a senior lecturer at Academy of Arts and Design in Wrocław and at University of the Arts Poznań. Member of AICA – International Association of Art Critics. Lives in Wrocław and St. Gierałtów.
