Nina Jeza

Nina Jeza (born 1979) studied History of Art at the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana, where she graduated under the mentorship of Professor Dr Lev Menaše.

She gained diverse work experience during her studies. Since 2012 she has been a self-employed cultural worker, curator, curator and pedagogue. For two years (2013/2014) she was the house curator of the Media Nox gallery, which operates under the auspices of the Maribor Youth Cultural Centre. She was the conceptual leader of the WEB NOX online gallery project. In January 2015, she started to actively cooperate with the Multimedia Centre KIBLA in Maribor, where she was the house curator, preparing, curating and organising various exhibitions, projects and events. She has participated in several international exchanges, projects and exhibitions. She also works as a pedagogue.

Particularly in the field of intermedia arts, she prepared and organised the KIBLIX Intermedia Festival (2013-2018), which also includes various workshops in the field of intermedia and technology integration. In 2013-2015, she was also the artistic director of the MFRU International Festival of Computer Art. In 2021 and 2022, she was the selector of the International Festival of Fine Arts in Kranj, and in 2022 and 2023, the curator of the pixxelpoint International Festival of contemporary artistic practices in Nova Gorica.

She has signed numerous successful events and publications in a wide range of electronic and print media, including TV and radio articles. She is the conceptual leader and organiser of art-MUS – Art Fair (2015 – 2024). She has recently launched the artStorage project, which is a business idea for an innovative model for storing, archiving, digitising and selling artworks by Slovenian artists.

Currently, she collaborates with various cultural institutions at home and abroad.
