PENNA PREARO: FORASTEIRO SONHADOR

Penna Prearo is one of the most important photographers of his generation. As the city’s growth limits the horizon, the advance of Parkinson’s disease pushes him to increasingly radical artistic interventions in his own photographs, recreating a new poetic horizon for São Paulo city and for himself.

Born on March 18, 1988. Student of the Master’s Degree in Documentary Film at the Universidad del Cine in Buenos Aires, graduated in Film Direction in São Paulo. Her first feature as a director, “Daragaia Lida”, now in production, won the First Special Mention in the development category at Labex Ar.
