The idea underpinning this film is a fusion of fictitious and documentary on terrorist events on September 11, 2001 in New York. Dan Oki, the scripwriter and director, was in New York at the time, experienced and filmed the events himself. Hence, it is in part an autobiographical account. The film is mostly full format, while the documentary bit is split screen. Towards the end, the two realities amalgamate into one. The film is about our common destiny on this planet, as well as our unjust destruction of the natural world embodied in a boy.
