MANUEL ALVAREZ DIESTRO.
Manuel Alvarez Diestro (Santander, 1972) is a visual artist from Spain currently living in London. For the previous two decades he lived in Algiers, Beirut, Casablanca, New York, San Francisco, Paris, Los Angeles, Madrid and most recently in Cairo. In this last city he lived exceptional times during the Arab Spring.
He explores city landscapes around the world with the objective of revitalizing through photography and film our visual appreciation of the contemporary city and how it relates to our human condition.
His work has been published in numerous architecture magazines and exhibited in different international art venues.
He holds an Art history degree from Boston University, Massachusetts, USA.
