Computer Art Graphic Multi-screen Installation

German animation and new media artist Max Hattler holds an MA in Animation from the Royal College of Art and a Doctorate in Fine Art from the University of East London. . He lives in Hong Kong where he is a Visiting Assistant Professor at the School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong.

—O| is a triptych of abstract animation loops inspired by Wayuu patterns. A forever-expanding, mandalic structure (O), symbolising the universe, is flanked  by moving vertical patterns (|) which stand for rain, growth and life, and horizontal patterns (—), symbolising earth, drought, and death.
