Artemis

Artemis is set up as a documentary on wildlife in urban area’s, and consists mostly of documentary footage, but the end of the film is fictional. Also because of the reference Artemis makes to the nature-film-with-voice-over of, say, the BBC, the fictional parts at the end will seem all the more alienating.

Martijn Veldhoen (Amsterdam,1962) studied at the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. In recent years, Veldhoen has been working on projects that can be interpreted as video installations, experimental documentaries and experimental short films. These projects have been shown at exhibitions and film- and video festivals worldwide.
