Videomedeja najavljuje i započinje razvoj velike Videomedeja Video Art Biblioteke.
25 godina priznanja i poštovanja našeg Udruženja jesu temeljna osnova od koje polazimo. Sada imamo tu privilegiju da možemo da napravimo ovako nešto izuzetno, što nema niko u Evropi a verovatno i šire. Sa ovim projektom, Novi Sad postaje svetska prestonica video umetnosti.

Od petka, 15. 5. 2020. godine omogućeno je besplatno gledanje preko 200 video radova na sajtu i na fejsbuku Videomedeje:http://videomedeja.org i https://www.facebook.com/videomedeja.

Online Videomedeja Video Art Biblioteka je podeljena u više kategorija. Na internetu pod pretragama videa naiđete na more nečega što nema apsolutno nikakve veze sa umetnošću i daleko je od onoga što tražite. Značaj ove Biblioteke tj. ovih videa će biti u tome što su oni već odabrani od strane stručnjaka iz oblasti savremene umetnosti na osnovu visokih kriterijuma.  Prioritet će imati radovi koji su prošli selekciju tokom prethodnih godina i kvalitetom su ušli u Takmičarsku selekciju festivala Videomedeja. Jednu od važnih kategorija će činiti nagrađeni i pohvaljeni radovi na Videomedeja Festivalima tokom ovih 25 godina.

Ovo je tek početak i trebaće puno vremena da se napravi velika baza podataka sa video radovima.  Vremenom će sigurno prerasti u sjajnu biblioteku video umetnosti koja će postati platforma za obrazovanje i promociju video umetnosti kao i njihovih stvaraoca. 

Projekat je nastao kao potreba da se svetski umetnički radovi video arta i digitalnih medija zaštite, sačuvaju i šire svoju vidljivost na najbolji i najsavremeniji način putem internet platformi koje su dostupne svima. Za video umetnost i nove medije se još nedovoljno zna ili im se ne pridaje adekvatan društveno-kulturni značaj. Na ovaj način stvara se polje za podrobnije upoznavanje, proučavanje i preispitivanje teorije, zaštite i distribucije video umetnosti i novih medija. 

Videomedeja VAL je neophodna kako bi se publika bolje upoznala sa video umetnošću koja nije dostupna pri prvoj pretrazi. Videomedeja VAL je veoma značajna jer širi vidljivost i značaj video arta i prema donatorima i sponzorima što će razultirati lakšem finansiranju budućih video produkcija.
Učešće u Videomedeja VAL pružiće vam priliku za: veću vidljivost na domaćem i na međunarodnom nivou; da upoznate potencijalne koproducente ili producente, agente prodaje, finansijere, distributere i emitere; da dobijete priliku da učestvujete u programu renomiranih festivala širom sveta.

Online Videomedeja Video Art Biblioteka bi se svake godine ažurirala sa novim radovima iz takmičarke selekcije Videomedeje i putem prijava umetika koji nisu deo Festivala.
Umetnici koji nisu učestvovali u festivalskom programu takođe mogu postati deo Videomedeja Video Art Library ali je neophodno da ispune formular http://videomedeja.org/agreement-video-art-library/?lang=en i doniraju minimalni iznos od 10 eura.

Međunarodni video festival VIDEOMEDEJA je osnovna aktivnost udruženja VIDEOMEDEJA. Ova u potpunosti neprofitna manifestacija održava se svake godine u trajanju od nekoliko dana. Festival se sastoji od takmičarskog programa i različitih pratećih programa koji se, u zavisnosti od trenutne produkcije i koncepcije, dešavaju u Novom Sadu.

Program se fokusira na umetničke projekte koji koriste video i nove medije za umetničko izražavanje i komunikaciju, a imaju široku paletu žanrova i oblika koji kombinuju slike i zvuk, naprednu komunikaciju, objekte, u simbiotičkom ili avangardnom stilu.

Video-umetnost (lat. videre=videti) je umetnička forma u kojoj je elektronski generisana slika osnovni element.

Video-umetnost se pojavila tokom kasnih 1960.-tih godina kao vrsta novih medija u okviru likovnih umetnosti kao pojam koji označava varijacije i forme u videu i video instalacijama. Video-umetnost može imati mnogo formi: snimci koji se emituju, instalacije koje se gledaju u galerijama ili muzejima; radovi  koji se izvode online, plasirani kao video trake ili DVD; ili performanse koje spjajau jedan ili više televizijskih setova, video monitora, i projekcija, prikazujući uživo ili snimljene slike i zvukove.
