She was born in Hagen (Germany) in 1965, and lives and works in Berlin since 1991. She studied Art History and Slavic languages at the Ruhr University Bochum (Germany), the Moscow State University and the Leningrad State University (Russia). Since 1991, she realized numerous exhibition projects and published numerous accompanying exhibition catalogues. Her texts appeared in various periodicals and catalogues. Currently she works as the head of the Video-Forum and managing director of Neuer Berliner Kunstverein, Berlin. Her recent projects include: Ira Schneider: mysteries in reality, NBK (2006); Maryam Jafri. Costume Party: Colony + Native, NBK (2006); displaced. Interactions/Interventions in public space, Berlin/NBK + relations, (2005); Videoartweek, NBK (2005); Matthias Müller – Album, NBK (2004).
