International Jury of the 16th International Video Festival Videomedeja in 2012. with the following members: Manuel Saiz from Spain, Harald Hund from Austria and Aleksandar Davić from Serbia, has made the following decisions:

The Sphinx Award for the best video:

Neil Beloufa, Sans-titre, 14:57, Color, Stereo, Netherlands, 2010

This work reconstructs memory with few very suggestive elements. It is a complex experiment in the layering of multiple levels of representation.

Bogdanka Poznanovic Award for the best Media Installation, Live piece, Software, URL:

Goran Škofić, Fronta, Video installation, Croatia, 2012

Jury members would like to call attention to the very straight use of few elements with maximum efficiency to evoke social, spatial and orderly structures.

Special mention:

Alexei Dmitriev, Hermeneutics, 03:15, BW, Stereo, Russian Federation, 2012

A dry, extremely well timed piece of filmic machinery in which war and festival are reduced to their minimum common denominator, technology.

Special mention:

Reetta Neittaanmaki, Lilliput, Media installation, Sound design by Jari Suominen, Finland, 2011

Jury members are especially stricken by the way in which in this work combines two particular relationships, first the one of the spectator with the installation as an object, and secondly with the cartoon character inside the reality the work portraits.
