River Studies is unique collection of river sails originally captured with a line-scan camera into huge panoramic still images, a selection of which got re-animated for this movie – a process that blurs the boundaries between film and photography, documentation and fiction.
We see 5 rivers on 4 continents (Nile, Danube, Ganges, Brahmaputra and Amazon) – 10 minutes each – in meditative silence.
