Osim osnovnih informacija o festivalu film gledaocima pruža uvid u istorijski razvoj video arta.

The documentary film "Video restArt," by Ivana Sremčević Matijević, lasting 30 minutes, explores five decades of video art in correlation with a quarter century of Videomedeja's existence.
This Videomedeja video production presents a diverse spectrum of thoughts on video art and its development through conversations with prominent participants from the world of art and theory.
In addition to basic information about the festival, the film provides viewers with insight into the historical development of video art. One of the integral parts of the film are video interviews conducted with guests and participants of the festival. In these interviews, speakers (artists, curators, historians, and media theorists) express their own opinions and interpretations regarding media synthesis in the digital environment, the significance of replacing analog technology with digital, contemplate the relationships between film, video, and television, and, generally, interpret contemporary artistic practice by tracing the arc from early video art of the 1960s to the present day.
Documentary footage from the Videomedeja festival was used in the film.
Among the participants in the film are: Mileta Postic, Zoran Naskovski, Damon Mohl, Martijn Veldhoen, Piotr Krajewski, Kathrin Becker, Robert Arnold, Jean-Gabriel Périot, Anouk De Clerck, Sylvia Winkler and Stephan Koperl."
