AWARDS

The Videomedeja Festival Awards were established to recognize and promote outstanding artistic achievements in the fields of video art and new media, as well as authors whose work pushes the boundaries of contemporary visual expression. Special emphasis is placed on the experimental, exploratory, and innovative character of the works, rather than on their level of production polish.

Competition Program

One best work is selected in each of the following categories: Screenings and Media Projects.

Winners in the competitive program are selected by a three-member jury composed of distinguished international experts, while the Bogdanka Poznanović Award is granted by a three-member selection committee.

The competitive program consists of an exhibition of selected single-channel or multi-channel, interactive or hybrid media projects presented in virtual or physical space, as well as screenings of selected single-channel art works of various genres, forms, and styles that combine image and sound.

Works included in the selection must not be older than two years.

The recognition is awarded to artists for their artistic oeuvre and lasting impact, as well as to institutions, organizations, and donors for their long-term support and contribution. With this recognition, we celebrate artists and cultural actors who expand the boundaries of perception, creating works and initiatives that inspire new generations and shape the future of visual arts.

The Videomedeja Golden Recognition is not part of the festival’s competitive program.
